vuGene LLC is a privately-owned personal genetics company dedicated to helping individuals understand their own genetic information through DNA analysis technologies. vuGene LLC was founded in 2009. 

Our services are intended for individual members of the general public. The process is simple. Read through the information and order the tests of your choice. No doctor visit or any other healthcare provider visit is necessary. Within a few days you will receive a sample collection package in the mail along with a consent form, instructions on how to collect a saliva sample and pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope that you will use to send your saliva sample back to us. In approximately 4-6 weeks after mailing your sample, you will be notified that your genetic data are ready. Each genetic analysis report is reviewed and signed off by a board certified physician. Your genetic data along with the technical data will be sent to you by regular mail or, if requested, as an encrypted pdf file. 

Physician consultation

Your genetic analysis report could be a complex document. Therefore we offer a free of charge telephone consultation with a physician during which you will have an opportunity to discuss your test results and ask other pertinent questions. This service is for information purposes only and does not establish a physician-patient relationship. For complete details please review the Disclaimers section. Upon request, we provide an in-office or physician consultation for evaluation of memory and related problems. The fee for this service is separate from the fee for genetic testing. In-office visit fees could be covered by third party insurance carriers such as Medicare. Please inquire about the details by submitting a contact form.

Our goal is to deliver scientifically valid information to you. Therefore, only genetic associations reported by peer-reviewed scientific journals that withstand the rigors of scientific replication are included in the report. 

vuGene LLC takes extensive and proactive measures to ensure privacy and security for our customers. We employ robust, multi-layered encryption and authentication methods and regular audits of our methods, to protect against unauthorized access to our systems. There is one-time fee for the genetic testing service. There are no other fees such as laboratory fees or any hidden fees. Shipping is prepaid to US addresses. The cost of our service is highly competitive. It depends on the genes and the number of locations examined.
