This test provides information about your genetic risk for ischemic stroke
The test will determine your genetic predisposition to strokes based on genetic markers of inflammation in lymphotoxin A gene (LTA). A positive test means that a person has increased genetic predisposition to strokes. Knowing your genetic risk will enable you to take specific actions to decrease your overall risk for strokes. For treatment and prevention guidance you should discuss your test results with your doctor.

Stroke risk factors that can be controlled |
Causes of stroke are genetic and environmental. Most environmental causes can be successfully controlled: losing weight, curbing use of alcohol and tobacco, controlling blood pressure and lowering blood cholesterol combined with regular exercise and healthy nutrition promotes good health and reduces stroke risks.
Stroke Risk Test™ is a genetic test. It reads your genetic code and provides information about your DNA. This information is more than 95% accurate. Interpretation of the test is based on well established associations between LTA genes and stroke risk.
The test can be ordered directly from this website. A physician's order is not required and you will not have to visit a laboratory or an office. Only a small saliva sample is required for the test. Sample collection takes less than five minutes and is done at the convenience of your home. Test results will be reviewed by a board certified physician who will discuss them with you over the phone.
